Hi I'm Coleton

I'm the oldest of 5 kids, I dream of achieving great things, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an extremely driven person and been involved in Student Council, and NHS for most of my high school career. My parents always told me that I should act more like a normal teenager but I never wanted to be a teenager. The only normal thing about me was my love for music and and media. Before my mission I spent a solid week listening to my spotify playlist. I love indie and alternative rock music, Harry Potter, water sports and travelling. I will be attending BYU Provo right after I serve my two-year mission to San Jose Costa Rica West side. I am currently in the MTC and enjoying the instruction I am receiving. . I have big aspirations and want to accomplish many things in my lifetime.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me a better person. Following gospel standards has helped me increase my self-esteem, and satisfaction with my life. I love the feeling of the spirit and how it can empower individuals to act above themselves. The gospel edifies me and helps me be at peace with my placement in the universe and gives me direction for my future. It is my driving force and motivation in this life as I seek to become more like my Father in Heaven. Through him I am able to overcome my imperfection ( a great gift to a perfectionist!) and grow spiritually and temporally.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith as diligently as I possibly can. I am a perfectionist and I constantly struggle with my spiritual standing feeling myself unworthy due to past mistakes. I find it difficult to forgive myself and move on yet I continuously try. I currently am serving a mission and I am starting to really understand what a commitment that is. Nevertheless I will put my faith in God that he will help me overcome my weaknesses and challenges because I am already experiencing many. The more I teach in the MTC the more my testimony of our Savior and loving Heavenly Father grows. I owe them so much and I am showing my appreciation by giving them these whole two years.
