Hi I'm Lisa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of two little boys. I also work for a doctor doing public relations and marketing. I have my hands full trying to balance work and family life but I am very lucky with a job that I can do mostly from home.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and I have a pioneer heritage. Growing up my testimony relied on those around me, but as I grew older I knew I would have to develop a testimony of my own. Until I entered college I couldn't feel confident in my own personal knowledge. While away from home at school I realized that the testimony I was living and felt as though I had been borrowing was in fact my own. That I knew that Joseph Smith was a prophet as well as I knew my own name. That I was certain that he had restored Christ's gospel to the earth. I had a testimony of my Savior and my Heavenly Father. The importance of the gospel to me is in the plan of salvation. Knowing where I came from, where I am going and that my family can be together for eternity. This is why I strive to continue to follow His gospel everyday.

How I live my faith

I serve in my ward as the Primary 11 girls teacher. The girls are at such a fun age because they are maturing and understanding gospel concepts while still being young and having the innate desire to do right. They challenge me every week as I teach our lesson while we discuss the scriptures and how we can apply them to our lives today.
