Hi I'm Sidnee

I'm a musician, a new missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sing, play guitar, and write songs. I love helping other people, seeing the smiles on their faces when I have helped ease their burdens, even just a little, is one of the greatest feelings in the world. I want to go to college to become a Music Therapist so that I can use my passion for music to help other people. But for rights now, I'm sacrificing 18 months of my life to serve the Lord and his children in the Cambodia Phnom Penh mission. I'm so excited! I know this is going to be hard, but it will be so worth it. I have been so blessed to have grown up in the gospel, knowing that I am loved unconditionally, by my parents, my family, and most importantly my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. I cannot wait to spread the gospel, and the hope, and peace that it brings.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because with out my religion and my faith, i would not have been able to find myself. I would have no purpose. No reason to try to be my best. Knowing that there is so much more than just this mortal life, that I am an eternal being, that the one responsible for creating the ENTIRE universe knows me as an individual. He knows my name, he knows what makes me angry, what my makes my heart break, what frustrates me, he knows everything about me, and he loves me. I'm Mormon because knowing all of that gives me purpose, I'm striving for something more than just success in this life, I'm striving for ETERNAL happiness. And this is the only way to get there.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith varies from day to day. Sometimes I am really good, I read my scriptures in the morning, say my prayers, and try to be kind to everyone around me. Other times, however, I don't do so well. But even when I don't do the things that I know I need to being doing, I know that I can repent and ask for second chance after second chance. I live my faith by trying my best to follow the commandments of God, admitting my mistakes, trying to lay aside my pride, and asking His forgiveness when I don't. I try to remember that Heavenly Father loves me and He knows I'm not perfect, and does not require me to be. He just wants me to do my best. And just knowing that truth helps me to be to want to continue to learn and grow.
