Hi I'm Linda

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Indiana, moved to California and then back to Indiana after I finished school. I am a mother, grandmother and g-grandmother. My first husband died, and then I remarried 5 years later. I volunteer at a local hospital and have for 8 years. I love any kind of word puzzles, scrapbooking and sewing on my sewing/embroidery machine. I have 4 daughters, 21 grandchildren and 10 1/2 g-grandchildren. I also volunteered for the literacy Coalition for 4 years.

Why I am a Mormon

When I moved to California, I had a neighbor who was a Mormon. She invited me to go to Primary (an organization for children) with her. I then started going to every church meeting with her family. When I was 12 years old, I decided that I wanted to be baptized. I never missed a meeting and the church became my newfound family. I later married a non- member who 15 years later chose to be baptized also. We were married in the temple so we could become an Eternal Family. Although my husband died, we will still be together after we both leave this world. After he died, I remarried 5 years later and this husband also chose to be baptized into the church. I then did the temple work for his deceased wife so that they could become an eternal family also.

How I live my faith

I've now been a member of the Mormon Church for almost 60 years. It is my entire way of life. I've served in the church by being a Sunday School teacher, Primary teacher, Several leadership responsibilities. I also spend many hours volunteering at our local hospital. I feel that while I'm serving others, I'm serving Christ
