Hi I'm Betty Ann

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi: My name is Betty Ann and I was born in Kentucky in the United States. I grew up there and went to school there. I married at my parent's home in 1958. I had two sons. My husband was in the Air Force and my oldest son was born in Texas and the youngest son was born in Michigan. My husband died after 32 years of marriage and I remarried in 1993 to a wonderful man. I crochet and knit afghans for my family and others and do all sorts of crafts. I used to bowl regularly but had to quit due to arthritis!! I am 71 years old and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

All my life I have searched other religions (beside Baptists). I was searching for something and I found what was missing in other religions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints. I have been a member for 18 years now. When the missionaries came to me, I knew that what they said was the truth and I wanted to belong to this church.

How I live my faith

I try to be understanding of other's beliefs. I attend all my church meetings unless sick. I am currently the Family History Consultant in my ward and the Extraction Director in my Stake. Family History has become my passion . I sincerely love to help others find their ancestors and family members they knew nothing about. I was helping a young couple in my Family History class and we discovered that we were 7th cousins, twice removed!!!!!! How exciting it was for me as I thought I was the only member in my family. I teach a family history class each Sunday in our ward and really have fun teaching others how to research their families. I also sing my my ward Choir and love every minute of it.
