Hi I'm Jeanine

I grew up in Arizona but married a guy from New York. I have 5 children and love to research our family's roots. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The best thing I've done in my life is to serve a mission with my husband to the Bronx in New York City. My husband is fluent in Spanish and so I went to a community college for 5 years before our mission to learn spanish. I was so shy as a young girl that I was not able to be away from my family. Living in New York City and learning about other cultures and people taught me that we are all the same in God's eyes. We all want the same happiness. We all love our children and want all that's good for them in this life. We will never forget our time spent there with those wonderful people in the Bronx.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that God is the same yesterday and today. He has always cared about His children on this earth by placing prophets to lead and guide us to safety. I know He sent Joseph Smith--a modern-day prophet --to restore His gospel and doctrines and once again on this earth. I know if I will study, and carefully follow the counsel of the current prophet, Thomas S. Monson, that I will be a better wife and mother and will be able to return to His presence when I pass on from this earth.

How I live my faith

I do many things--every day, week and all year to try to live my LDS Faith. I try to go to the holy Temple in Mesa, Arizona several times a month. I attend services weekly at a chapel nearby. Each day, I try to read the holy scriptures. Currently, as a special project, I am memorizing "The Proclamation On The Family"--because so many of our modern-day controversies and issues deal with the disintegration of the family as a unit in society. Many people ask me about what I believe, and I want to be able to respond truthfully and honestly. By memorizing "The Proclamation On the Family"--I will be able to understand and state what i believe in clear, precise statements.
