Hi I'm John Robertson

I have a wife and six beautiful children. I own a small engine repair facility on Camano Island, WA. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a search and rescue air crewman, police officer, mechanic, and have a strong love of gardening. I love to fish and hunt. I build hot rods and currently have a light plane under construction. I have a lovely wife and six wonderful grown children with families of their own and many grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of the church 45 years ago. I was in the military and was disappointed to see my buddies going out to drink and disrespecting the women they came in contact with. I was raised in a Christian environment to revere and respect women. I was introduced to the church by some friends. I really appreciated what the church taught about the importance of womanhood and how the church placed a woman alongside a man in holy matrimony for all time and eternity, not "till death do you part." Since I joined the church, I have been taught about the importance of where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going after we die. I'm so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ, who together created the plan of salvation so all their children who so desired, could return to be with their Heavenly Father again. This has allowed my wife and I, and our children to work toward a common goal of being together for all the eternities. I know that Jesus taught His gospel while he was on the earth and then His church fell into apostasy because of the unrighteousness of men. That made it necessary to restore the gospel of our Savior back to the earth so all of Heavenly Father's children could have the opportunity to learn those things to help them return. Not only for those living, but also for our deceased ancestors.

How I live my faith

I presently am called as the Sunday School President. I have two Counselors and together we provide direction for teachers for all the classes in Sunday School. The classes range in age from 12 to 17 for the youth and three adult classes. I have been assigned to visit four families in our congregation to assist with their needs when needed. I also help with many local service projects in our community.
