Hi I'm Heather

I'm a mom and a wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom to a sweet little boy. Before that, I taught elementary school. I loved teaching the kids in the lower grades. I had many opportunities to travel during my college years, and I learned a lot while spending time in Europe, New Zealand, and Australia.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know I can rely on my Savior for guidance and direction. Because of this, I feel great peace when I make a decision, and can, in faith, move forward confidently in the direction I have chosen. There is so much uncertainty in the world today. Having a sure foundation fills me with the assurance that I am making the right choices for myself and my little boy. I also love the sense of community I feel as a member of the LDS Church. In the next couple of years, we have a few moves ahead of us as my husband completes law school. I know that wherever we move, we will be welcomed with open arms and hearts.

How I live my faith

Before our boy came, I was able to teach the 3 & 4 year old children. I loved their sweet spirits, and their willingness to help each other and me. I am confident that I learned more from their examples than I probably taught them! Now that our little boy is growing up, we spend time each day talking about our Savior and his role in our lives. We sing songs about Christ, our Heavenly Father's plan for us, our wonderful bodies, and the beauties of the world around us. I tell him stories from the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I hope that as he continues to grow, he will be close to Him, and be able to follow His example.
