Hi I'm Colette

I am a wife. A mother of 5. A brand new grandma. A recent college graduate. An Arizona native and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in an active LDS home. I had the chance to associate with great friends, some members of my faith and some of other faiths throughout my life. When my husband and I married, we spent the first 10 years with him in college, then medical school and residency. Although we had years of skimping by in many areas of our life, we learned how to rely on each other. We have 5 amazing children. I have spent the last several years pursuing my education, taking one or two classes a year, and finally walked in my cap and gown with my husband and children cheering me on. My home is now full of teenagers and young adults. One of my happiest days was watching our oldest daughter marry a great man in the Mesa Arizona Temple. I am now a grandma-which has been the greatest reward for raising teenagers.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the church I had the chance to gain my own testimony of gospel principles as I lived them. As a young teenager, I remember reading the Book of Mormon when a peaceful feeling came over me with the thoughts--it's true, this book is true. I know I can pray to Heavenly Father to know of His will. I have gained an understanding that my Heavenly Father knows and loves me. This witness is not anything I can prove to anyone else nor can it be an answer to someone else's questions, but it is an undeniable confirmation of the things I believe.

How I live my faith

I love the women and young women organizations of the church. My life has been enriched by serving in these organizations. They have helped me to be a better person, wife, mother, sister, friend and leader. l continue to grow in each of these areas as I study spiritual truths, learn how to strengthen my home and family and to serve not only those I associate with but also those truly in need.
