Hi I'm Heather

I'm a wife. I'm a mother of 4. I'm a children's literature enthusiast. I'm a sports fanatic. I'm a dog lover. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my high school sweetheart and it was the best decision I ever made. We have 4 beautiful children and I love my job - being their mom. I take this job very seriously and know that for me it is the most important job I will ever have. I love spending time with my family. I have a passion for children's literature and believe strongly that if you instill in a child a love for reading, you can change their life forever! I collect young adult and children's books and I had to convert my dining room into a home library to hold them all. One of my favorite memories is reading books to my children. I am a sports fanatic and love watching everything including tennis, football (my favorite), basketball, golf (which my children think is as exciting as watching grass grow) and even Nascar (I can't help it - I live in Indiana)! I am proud to be a mother of 4 - 2 boys and 2 girls - all who know and understand the fundamentals of football!

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that He knows and loves each and every one of us individually. Being a Mormon impacts every aspect of my life. It influences my choices on a daily basis as I try to live my life the way I believe my Heavenly Father would want. The gospel has given me the clarity to understand what in life is really important. While life is not always easy, my faith has taught me to trust in my Savior and know that with His help I can do anything, even hard things. The gospel is a daily reminder of the blessings in my life and the knowledge that I can have those blessings for all eternity.

How I live my faith

As members of our church we are given many opportunities to serve in various callings. I have been fortunate to be a teacher for both the men and women, the youth, and the children. Currently I am teaching the children ages 12 and under. I love watching their faces as they learn about their Savior and how much He loves each one of them. Their energy and enthusiasm is contagious and I am convinced I learn as much from them every week as they learn from me. Probably the greatest joy I have is watching the testimonies of my own children grow. Recently my oldest son served a mission for our church in Japan. For two years not only our son, but our entire family was blessed by his experiences of serving and teaching the people in that wonderful country. What a great blessing it is to have something as wonderful as the gospel and then have the opportunity to tell others about it.
