Hi I'm Jordan

I was born in England. I love getting to know people. I am currently serving a mission. I'm a mormon.

About Me

Im a normal English guy. I love to play sports and football, to me, is one of the greatest things that ever happened to mankind! I am a massive Chelsea FC fan. I love getting to know people and just talking in general. I lived in Kenya for under a year and whilst there helped teach english, coached a little football team and helped to provide food, wheelchairs and other support for HIV positive families. I also recently served a mission for the church in England and I loved it! I am from a large family, with 4 brothers and 1 sister and absolutely love being with and around them all.

Why I am a Mormon

I always grew up in this church, yet was never fully convicted of its teachings. My parents both had strong testimonies and were great examples to me, they were good role models of how to be, yet I never fully appreciated them. I left the church for a little while to try and live life how I though it should go and when it got to an all time low my thoughts turned back to my parents and the things they had always taught me. I got down on my knees and prayed and felt an overwhelming peace come over me. It was then that I knew I had to change, and that I would be happiest if I do so. I have come to love the Book of Mormon and every time I read it I feel closer to my Heavenly Father. And I know that my family has definately come closer over these past couple of years because of my decisions. I LOVE IT!!!

How I live my faith

I often just try to do the simple things. I read the scriptures every day and pray when I wake up and go to bed. I also try and serve whenever possible. I love in the scriptures when Christ said that people will recognise us as his disciples if we have 'love one to another'. I know that the way that I have been blessed in my life and recognised people as Christians is when others have served me and those around me. I hope that I can emulate that same spirit nd love in what I do.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

I have found that often the things that we can do to increase our faith are just the simple things. As we read our scriptures, pray and attend church meetings, we start to develop a relationship with our Father in Heaven and our Brother, Jesus Christ. That gives us a solid foundation upon which to build our lives. I also believe that a great way to increase faith is just by sometimes taking risks and trying to see if the promised blessings in the scriptures are real. I know that for me the times when I have learnt the most are when I have tried to take risks and have been taught, through experience that the Lord always pulls through! When we trust in him he will never fail us. Show more Show less
