Hi I'm Long

I am currently a college student as a music major. I am a professional Fixed-Gear Freestyle Bike rider. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a first year college student at a local community college studying music. I have many interests and hobbies any other teenagers would have like video games, hanging out with friends, and playing sports. My main sport would be riding my fixed gear bicycle. I've been riding for well over 4 years now and I've become a professional over the years. I've recently been baptized this year of 2011, making me a new member. There hasn't been a day I regret being baptized into the Christian Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This church has become another home to me, members have become another family to me, and our prophet Joseph Smith, has become another great inspiration of mine. I know in my heart, mind, and soul that this church is true. I am proud to be called a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

The real question is, why wouldn't I be a Mormon? There are those decisions in life which you make that you will never regret, and becoming a Mormon is one of them. A lot of times, people don't have regrets by passing up the chance to become a Mormon, only because they have the wrong idea. Out of all honesty, before I became a member of the church, I didn't want to become a Mormon. I didn't want to become a Mormon not because I made a good decision not to join it, quite frankly, I didn't have a good reason, because I had no reason! It wasn't until I finally went to LDS events with my friends that I realized how wrong I was. The atmosphere, the people, the great feeling of being around those who actually support you, and the love that comes from every little thing this church provides, gives me all the reason in the world to become a Mormon.

How I live my faith

There are ENDLESS ways to participate in events! Infants, youth, young adults, adults, etc. There are events for EVERYBODY. At the LDS church, we are so welcoming to anybody, member or not. Before I became a member, it felt so good to feel respected, to be noticed, and to feel like you fit in, member or not. Although it is strongly recommended to join the church, our church does not discriminate towards anybody, member or not. There were so many events that took place that I took place in, even before I became a member. Dance festivals, singing in the choirs, eating out with members, etc, were just one of many events I took place in. This church even gave me benefits I need for the future. I am a music major studying to become a teacher, and the church allows me to teach the youth how to sing and makes me so prepared for what is in the near future. There are so much countless benefits in joining this church. ALL VISITORS WELCOMED!
