Hi I'm Felipe

I'm from Texas. I'm a husband, a father, and a Respiratory Therapist. Most importantly of all, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of three, soon to be four, a husband to a wonderful woman, and a Repiratory Therapist. When I'm not working, I love to hang out with my family. I love to play basketball, tennis, and pretty much any other competitive sport. I've been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since July of 2009 and its been the best years of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife introduced me to two Missionaries a couple months after we got married. When asked if they could share a spiritual message with me, being a little hesitant at first, I accepted. As the Elders read passages from the Book of Mormon, I felt it to be true. I didn't act on it because I still had mixed feelings about my prior beliefs as a Jehovah's Witness. A couple of months later when I had went to visit a brother of mine, my wife asked me if I could take her to go see the temple that was in that city. Noticing that she was in her Sunday best, I also "dressed up" for the occasion wearing I nice dress shirt with starch pressed denim shorts and some nice leather sandals. After we got out of the car and stepped onto the temple grounds, an unusual feeling came across me yet it was very faint. As I got closer and closer to the temple doors the feeling began to increase. As we walked in, I felt that feeling grow exponentially to the point to where I felt my spirit felt radiant.Though it felt like an eternity, I was only in there a few seconds before the receptionist asked me to step outside because I wasn't temple dressed. After experiencing that, I understood why I had to go. As I crossed through the threshold of the door, it was as if all those feelings I had got yanked out of me and I turned around and looked in while the door was still open and started to think about all the things I had done wrong in my life and what I was currently doing wrong. That day, I felt the Holy Ghost bare witness to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the true church and that through Joseph Smith, the Gospel had been restored as well.

How I live my faith

I'd like to say it's without struggle, but the adversary never rests. I rely on the scriptures, personal prayers, active membership in the church, and most of all, my family because I believe there is more to life than just living it.
