Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a native of Issaquah WA, a Boeing Manufacturing Engineer, a Boy Scout leader and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of a family of 5 kids. Not only did I grow up as part of a great family I also had great friends. I gained a love of the outdoors through the boy scouts and continue to backpack when I have time. My favorite location to hike is Washington's North Cascades. Along with backpacking I love fly fishing. After graduating from high school I served in the Hawaii Honolulu mission (tough duty but somebody has to do it). The mission was a great opportunity. While serving as a full time missionary I gained a stronger testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also learned skills that have continued to help me in my personal life, like how to work, communicate, and have patience. I was set up on a blind date by a brother and it happened to be with the love of my life. I have been happily married for 24 years and I'm looking forward to the rest of eternity. I have four kids that have helped me to learn to be kind and sharing. The oldest has graduated with a masters degree and the youngest is a freshman in high school. I have worked at Boeing as a manufacturing engineer for the last 20 years. I have coached youth wrestling and football. I'm currently a district commissioner with the boy scouts of america.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of active members of the Church. From an early age I recognized the truth in the gospel teachings. When I read the scriptures or listen to the inspired leaders I can feel the Spirit bear witness that the words are true. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer. Because of his atonement I have the chance to live eternally with him and my Father in Heavan. I know that we have a prophet on earth today that is inspired to speak as directed by the savior. I now the Book of Mormon testifies of Jesus Christ and stands as a second witness along side the Bible.

How I live my faith

I have been involved with the Boy Scouts of America since I was eight years old. I earned the rank of eagle and have always felt scouting is a program that can benifit all young men and boys. Currently I am volunteering as the Alpine District Commissioner. I am also involved with a church youth programs for the Bellevue area. In this assignment I help arrange dances, outings, camps and sports activities for the young men and their friends.
