Hi I'm Kelly

I am originally from California. I love it here in Washington State. I enjoy working on and riding motorcycles. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of three children, two of whom are in college, and one is in high school. I dearly love my wife and children, and look forward to the progress that we all make as we continue to learn and grow in the gospel. I am very mechanically talented, and am willing to try to fix most anything. I am a licensed aircraft mechanic, but am not currently working in that field. I am currently working as a CADD designer, and enjoy almost every day of work doing this. I enjoy working with computers, but my most enjoyable interest is motorcycles. It really doesn't matter if it is old or new, American, Italian, Japanese, or British. All that matters is that it has two wheels, an engine, and it can be ridden.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was born in the church, but my father was a convert, baptized a few years before I was born, so I was born into the church. I quit attending church when I was eighteen, and for the next eleven years only attended church a few times. When I met my wife, I found out that she was also a member of the church. She had the values and qualities that I had been looking for in a companion, and I knew that if I was ever to convince her that I was the one for her, I needed to return to practicing my beliefs and follow my true feelings. More than two decades later, I have never been happier and more satisfied with my life and my decisions. I know that our Heavenly Father loves all of us and wants what is best for us, but he has given us our agency to make our own decisions, and to decide our own paths in life. I went thru eleven years of not being sure that I was on, or anywhere near, the right path. I now know that I can do my best to stay on the right path, and Heavenly Father will help me to do even better than I can on my own. Knowing this brings me comfort and happiness in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by knowing that I am an example of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to everyone that may see me everyday. I look for others that I may be able to be of service to. I serve within the church wherever I am needed, and am currently called to be our ward's Temple cleaning coordinator, where once every ten weeks a group of 14 to 18 adults from our ward attend the Temple, and then afterwards we clean the inside of the Temple, so that it may reflect the glory that the Lords House should have. This is done almost every day of every week, by members of the church who live in the regions around the Temple. This is some of the most joyful service I have been able to do.
