Hi I'm Mikki

I'm a daughter, a sister and a friend. I'm Filipino and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Mikki, and i'm 22 years of age. I graduated nursing in the Philippines and i'm planning to practice it here in US where I currently live. I love watching movies and I love to sit and watch people as they walk in front of me. I love the outside life and have some time with my family and my friends. I love seeing people smiling and happy. I love reading profile's of those people who served/serving/will serve their mission in the Philippines. It makes me miss my home country, but I am glad that these missionaries are there because people needs to know the truth that only Church of the Latter Day Saints have. I wish that I can talk to those missionaries.

Why I am a Mormon

For a convert like me, it should be hard but in my case not at all. My mom is the first one who got converted and she never ask me or my brothers to join the church. When I came here in US I was able to attend the Church of the Latter Day Saints. Since that day, I knew what my heart desires. It took 9 months before I decided to be baptized. My baptism is awesome. I'm very thankful for all the Elder's ( Elder Rammel, Elder Dandridge, Elder Duffin, Elder Hardinger and specially these two Elder Matangi and Elder Pexton) who consistently visit our house and share their testimonies and all their learning's about the church and the Book of Mormon. Without their help I might not be converted until now. I might be still hanging around and searching for answers. Thank you so much Elders. And what I really like about the Church are: - The chance to be with our Heavenly Father - Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually perfect as we face God - The plan of Salvation - Modern Revelations - Loving and caring members I'm so grateful for the Gospel, it gives my family guidance, protection and comfort. By reading all the scriptures, questions are being answered, there's no place for doubts just faith.

How I live my faith

When I first do the visiting teaching, I'm nervous and excited. But as we go on, hearing their testimonies and their opinions are so precious. I love volunteering in the City Mission in Schenectady with my fellow members of the church, doing service for these people is unconditional. Just to see them smiling is enough to do it again and again. Helping someone you know them or not, a member of the church or not is a great calling. Helping and serving someone is like serving God. Its nice to experience the unconditional happiness you feel each time you help and do service to someone.
