Hi I'm Angela

I'm a Mormon. I'm a lecturer at a University. I have experience in the television industry and teach mass communication courses.

About Me

I grew up in a family as the only girl with four younger brothers. I'm now the mother of two boys and I'm married to a loving husband. I'm not afraid of hard work but enjoy being pampered on occasion. I enjoy camping, shopping and traveling. I love theatrical performances and have performed in Annie Get Your Gun. I'm not an animal lover and prefer my teaching profession over farming. However, in my spare time my husband and I run a farm with horses, donkeys, rabbits, pigs, chickens and turkey. I've recently been converted to love pigs! And horses! Cleaning is my therapy and I love organization. I love a good movie and a night out with my family. Fall is my favorite time of the year because I love the beautiful earthy colors that come with autumn.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was 4 years old. Growing up in the church has brought blessing to my family. Over the past few years, I've become very active in my callings at church and I love going to the temple. My husband is a nonmember and I love the gospel because I know that Heavenly Father loves all his children. Even though my husband hasn't found his way into this gospel, I see the gospel embracing him and blessing him through my faithfulness. I know the power of prayer and love to see the testimony of my son grow through his faithfulness in prayer. I know each of us has a divine purpose on this earth and that a special plan has been developed for us by Heavenly Father. As we live the gospel by keeping the commandments, praying and reading scriptures daily, we can receive personal revelation and companionship of the holy spirit to guide us and help us through challenging times. I continue to grow in my faith as I live and learn the gospel line upon line and precept upon precept.

How I live my faith

I'm the Young Women's President in my ward. It's a blessing to be an example and help girls ages 12-17 while they strive to live the gospel through the challenges of being a teenager in middle and high school. I dedicate time in developing activities for these young women that is spiritual, interactive and educational. The Personal Progress program for the young women has grown into an exciting challenge. Not only the young women but the leaders have the opportunity to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually through the planned activities in the program. Reaching goals and accomplishing tasks is rewarding and I find helping the Young Women reach their goals is truly rewarding.
