Hi I'm Chris

I'm a wife, mother of 6, grandmother of 21, great-grandmother of 1, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I joined the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints when I was 18. Throughout my school years I had a very special group of friends who just made every day seem like the best day ever. I soon found out that ALL these friends were 'Mormons'! While I attended our community college some of those friends asked me to join them for activities at the Institute of Religion, just across the street. I did. There were many group activities and even classes. I joined in the fun of different activities and took a class in The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of JESUS CHRIST. As I learned about the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of JESUS CHRIST, I realized how the teachings of Jesus Christ were so clear and understandable. I had read the Bible all of my life ~~ now, I understood so clearly. His life became "real" and the focus was truly His sacred gospel and His life and His willing sacrifice to atone for MY sins. I could see that He was MY advocate with our Father, MY Savior and Redeemer! I could not have been more sure about the truth of His actual life and His visit to 'other sheep, here, on the American continent. I could and DID pray for comfirmation of the truth of the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of JESUS CHRIST. What peace, comfort and love I felt. I KNOW The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints is His true church restored, again, to this earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found that a firm knowledge of Jesus Christ could be had by anyone. We can all pray and receive answers to our own personal questions. We have access to our Heavenly Father and to truth by revelation, personal revelation! We are children of God. I know the truth of Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints, I know that it has been restored to the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith, having been called and ordained as were prophets of old. We have prophets and apostles on earth, today. Our prophet, today, is Thomas Spencer Monson. I am so thankful for the truth restored and the blessings of old coming to pass in these latter days. We have the direct love of our Father in Heaven, our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ, and the presence of the Holy Ghost. The Godhead, in effect and working never to be taken from this earth, again. It is a comfort and my heart sings and I can rejoice in the knowledge of these sacred truths in evidence all around and available to everyone. I am so thankful for these blessings. My life has become more and more wonderful, more directed in the paths of righteousness, and I can even be thankful for every trial that might cross my path for I KNOW there is a lesson to be learned and a blessing bestowed through every single one. How greatly blessed my life has been. I write this in the holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

Living with the restored truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the focal point of my life is something that has made a complete change in my personal life. It has also been a wonderful way to raise our children and is such a joy sharing these truths with our grandchildren. We have such a deep and abiding faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ and that faith is found in even deeper faith in our children and in their children! Having the foundation of the church as a perfect partner in raising our youth. Years pass and my faith grows and I have a foundation which is already in effect should a decision or circumstance occur that might compromise my beliefs. No thought about what to do is necessary - the decision is already made. Comfort and peace reign as I live the standards of Jesus Christ's church. I've been able to share what I may have learned in teaching children and adults. The schools which our children have attended were able to use my talents and abilities as I volunteered in classrooms and other acivities in the community. Sharing our talents and blessings has created sound, happy communities besides making lifelong friends. The teachings of Jesus Christ are a universal foundation. As we come together in school and community activities we are able to live in a way of peace and love. It is just the most wonderful feeling and the greatest comradarie as we share Jesus Christ's teachings by just living them! We bear our testimonies by just doing things Jesus Christ would do. Life is a joy and our community thrives as we come together and just be what we profess to be - disciples of Jesus Christ! I know we share the love of our Savior with most of our friends in our community. Because the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored we have been blessed beyond our greatest dreams. Living our faith grows more and more firm as we continue study the scriptures and pray to be able to live as Christ did when He was here on the earth.
