Hi I'm Erika

I live in Indiana. I'm a wife and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I finally have my dream job as a stay at home mom. After working through years of infertility, my husband and I were blessed with healthy and beautiful boy/girl twins. In my free time I love taking pictures, planning events, and working out at the gym. I love spending time with friends, whether it's with children or going to see the latest chick flick in the theater. I love my husband and all that he does for me and our family.

Why I am a Mormon

At the age of 14, I was attending a summer program for youth in the LDS church. Having been raised LDS, it wasn't unusual for me to spend a lot of time with friends of my same faith. This week long activity was the first time I allowed myself to really feel the Spirit confirm in me the inklings I had experienced all my life - I knew, without a doubt, that I was a member of the only true church on the earth. It was after this experience, that I publicly shared my testimony for the first time, an experience that was so powerful for me, that it only further strengthened my testimony. In the years since, I have been blessed to feel the Spirit again and again, as it has born witness to me of many of the truths of His gospel - that Joseph Smith was a living prophet, that he did see God the Father and His Son, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and was translated by inspiration by Joseph Smith, and that we continue to have living prophets on the earth today who receive continual revelation from our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily. It is embedded into everything I do. I've had the privilege of planning events for our church such as talent shows, fall festivals, group dinners, Christmas activities, camp for the youth. I've also taught early morning scripture study (what we call "Seminary") to the high school students. Currently, I work with the children under the age of 12. They are such a joy to teach and serve as you can truly see why the Savior wants us to be like the children. They have such a desire to do good and to love.
