Hi I'm Katelyn

I'm crazy busy with school, extra curriculars, and spending time with my family. I love the performing arts! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been involved in the performing arts ever since I was 5 years old and began taking piano lessons. Since then, I've started my own piano studio, become the organist for my church congregation, and have been an active participant in my high school choir and theatre programs. I love musical theatre and currently want to be a high school theatre teacher when I grow up. I'm working super hard in school so that way I can get a full-ride scholarship to the college of my choice. I love learning, but I don't love the stress that comes along with getting good grades! Too bad they're closely related! I love my family and I love just simply sitting around and talking about things with them. It's awesome that I can live with a whole household of my closest friends! I'm so thankful for the influence my family has on me, and for the love and support they give me so that I can chase my dreams with confidence.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the confidence and happiness I gain from living the teachings of Jesus Christ. I am taught in all of my Sunday School and seminary lessons, as well as every Youth activity, the teachings of my Savior. And I have learned from experience, that the more I stay true to His principles, the happier I am. I also love doing what's right because I feel confident that I'm becoming the person that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want me to be. And with that confidence comes the surety that I can face my own trials and tribulations because I have Diety on my side. And there's nothing more humbling, yet more inspiring, than recognizing the love and power of God in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by understanding what my standards are and trying my hardest to live up to them. I dress modestly, use clean language, refrain from watching/listening to bad media, and try to help those in need. I feel like I need to be what I profess to be, and since I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I need to be just that. I need to live my life in a manner that shows I am a member of His church, and I do this by following His teachings, and living up to my standards.
