Hi I'm Iris

I'm an orthodontic assistant, a music lover, a future missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the fourth daughter of 6 girls. I love my family dearly. I LOVE to dance, sing, and play the bass guitar. Music in general brings great joy into my life. I love making people smile which is part of my line of work. I'm an orthodontic assistant aspiring to be a dentist. Currently I'm preparing to serve a mission for 1 yr and 1/2 in Salt Lake City, Temple Square Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Knowing that our Father has a perfect plan for each one of his sons and daughters brings great comfort to my heart. No matter your race, no matter your age, no matter your difficulties He loves each and everyone equally. The only thing He requires is to have faith and to strive to be like unto Jesus Christ. Only through his great sacrifice will we all be saved. At times I feel as though I'm alone and that I make too many mistakes. It is then where I humble myself and talk to my Father. I let Him know of my difficulties. I know that He is there. That in the end everything will be ok. That we are all eternal spirits and that if we put our perspective to eternities. This only but a small moment, and this (difficulties) too shall pass. It is only through this gospel where I have felt great joy and the love of my Father.

How I live my faith

Just as Jesus loved the children. I love the children and currently serve in the organization of watching over the children of the church. Children have a wonderful innocent spirit that you just can't get no where else. These kids say the funniest things and you cant help but just laugh. We try to teach the children the basic principles (i.e. honesty, love, baptism, praying) through songs and lessons. It makes it fun and interesting for the young ones to learn and understand. As an adult it is expected for me to teach them but they never cease to amaze me. They always teach me about love, forgiveness, and lets not forget patience. I know that this is preparing me for when I have children of my own. These kids will always have a place in my heart. As I'm getting ready to serve a mission, I have learned that through small and simple things comes great blessings. As I pray, read my scripitures and continue attending church services (which are small things) I am blessed with His spirit and more knowledge (which are the great blessings). Each day I want to learn more and more. Who doesn't? It's the question Plato, Socrates, and many many philosophers have tried to answer for centuries. Who are we? Where do we come from? Where will we go?. If we read our scriptures and pray to know of the truthfulness the spirits will enter our hearts and give you great peace and understanding. It has given me the answers to these questions and comfort when I have needed it.
