Hi I'm LaDonna

I enjoy sewing, working with Cub Scouts, growing flowers, and being outdoors with my famiy. I have five kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Sewing is my love. It's therapeutic to me. My creative outlet of sorts. My other love is being called "momma". Being a mother isn't always easy. It is the most rewarding thing I've done in my life though and I wouldn't trade the hard times for anything in the world. I have five beautiful children. I love having a big family. I'm from a big family...oldest of eight kids. One of my favorite things is having all the kids and their spouses over for dinners on Sunday. It makes my heart swell with joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised LDS, having ancestors who crossed the plains and settled in UT. I was taught that this life is a test. We all have different trials and challenges. One of my daughters has a special challenge. She was born mentally handicapped. She is unable to talk. Expressing herself is especially challenging for her. She uses some sign language and has a "talker" (AAC Device) but usually just makes noises and gestures. She has taught me so much about who I am and why I'm here. She has such a sweet Spirit and a great sense of humor. I'm grateful for my knowledge of the gospel. Knowing that our family can be together eternally gives me hope. I look forward to the time when we can talk and laugh together. When she is able to sing and tell me all that is in her heart. I know that my Savior loves me. I'm not sure why our daughter was born with these challenges. I'm not sure what I am supposed to learn from this experience but I do know that there is a purpose in all things. I know that she is teaching me every day. I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ is true. I am so grateful for this knowledge. Life isn't always easy and this knowledge really helps me get through in the tough times.

How I live my faith

So I do as many others do and take one day at a time some days. I laugh as much as I can. The Cub Scouts help me out with that. I work with the 9 year old boys. They are so funny! I love seeing them learn and figure things out. It's so great to see them work together and help each other. You know, I think that that's the most important thing we can learn. When we are working together and helping each other we are the happiest. And that's my favorite part of life.
