Hi I'm Nicole

Texas is my home. I have two kids and two dogs and would spend most of my time outdoors if I could! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom getting ready to send my oldest to college. I love caring for my family and the triumphs that come along with that. I love gardening and sewing, and I'm always a little behind on keeping my house organized! I am attempting to get back into the work force part time and am finding it somewhat challenging - having no "work" experience and not being "certified" in anything. I do love a challenge though, and know something will come along in the Lord's time.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon and always enjoyed the security I felt knowing I was doing what the Lord wanted me to do. From the day I got baptized I felt in my heart that living the commandments 100% and striving to be like Jesus Christ was what I wanted to do. As a child growing into a teenager, I took to heart the counsel of my parents, church leaders and the prophet and tried to continue to live the way God would have me live. There are several programs the church has put in place to help us realize early in life that our goals should be to get married and have a family, and these programs helped nurture and teach me how to be a good wife and mother. Above all, my testimony grew that the love Heavenly Father has for me is real and that he is aware of me and all that I am going through. Now that I am a mother and wife, I cherish the many principles I have been taught that give me the confidence and strength I need to raise righteous children and work on having a meaningful and loving relationship with my husband. Being a member of this church requires work and dedication, I love every opportunity I have to show Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that I am so thankful for all that I have been blessed with and that I am a willing and able disciple.

How I live my faith

I am blessed to have served so far in many jobs, or "calling," within the church. One of my favorites was teach early morning seminary, where high school kids come before school to receive gospel instruction. It was very time consuming and exhausting at times, but I grew spiritually during that time and enjoyed being around teenagers. The opportunity I had to feel the spirit every morning and teach the gospel out of the Old and New Testaments is one I'll always be thankful for. Right now I work with the children of the ward, ages 3-11. They are wonderful and truly want to do what's right. I love being with them every Sunday and feeling of their love for Jesus Christ.
