Hi I'm Kinley

I'm a Strong Woman. A Mother to 3 Amazing Kids. I Love Adventure and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love a physical challenge. "Bring it on" escapes my lips or is in my thoughts more often than it should. Being physically fit and capable to do anything has always been a big part of my life as long as I can remember. I think that has been one of my biggest challenges in life as well. It is hard when you are use to being a strong person, able to do anything (in your mind) and then have something happen that you can't control. I was diagnosed as being bipolar when my oldest of the two was almost 4yrs old. I fought it thinking I could just pull myself out of this deep depression on my own. "I was stronger than this". And then feeling even more invincible when I finally made it to my highs. I'm not sure which was worse for my family, me not being able to get out of bed and do anything or me being super woman who wouldn't listen to anyone because I knew best. All I know is that it took me 4yrs. before I finally accepted the help I needed. We had always wanted more children, but there was no way with my physical condition. I could not accept that. With 3 good years under our belt, I started to pray about having more children, I was able to work myself off medication and stay stable long enough to bring our 3rd child into this world. To this day, I can't explain why I am fine w/out medication. All I know is that this little baby has blessed our life beyond measure and I am a much better person because of the trials I have had to go through. Trials are good.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. I especially love being a woman in our Church. It is so liberating and empowering. I feel like I can do anything and I will always have someone there to show me how if I don't know. There is a special relationship you can feel anywhere in the world and a support system that you can always count on. I'm a Mormon because I love my Savior Jesus Christ with all my heart. He has always been there for me. I want to serve him the best that I can. Living his gospel brings me peace and happiness. I'm a Mormon because I feel it in my heart and in every ounce of my body that this is right and true and what my Heavenly Father wants for me and my family.

How I live my faith

I love living my Faith. There are always ways to serve and I love how the church helps you to learn and grow in areas that you wouldn't normally put yourself in. I currently serve in the cub scout program in our area. We have about ten 8yr old boys in our den and it has been so much fun to watch them learn and grow and to know that what you are doing is worth while. The other thing that I love about our Church is how we all look out for each other and everyone in our neighborhood. Each woman in the church is assigned a partner and those two are then assigned a couple of other women to check in on once a month to make sure everything is going well for them. I love my partner and the women I get to visit. It gives me a chance to get to know more people on a more personal level and also to know what I can do to help it ever the need arises.
