Hi I'm Chad

I love to express myself through writing. I served a full time mission in Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading and writing. I am an avid journal writer, and I particularly enjoy blogging and getting all my crazy thoughts out on the internet. I studied English in college and I love good story-telling. I also love thai food. And fruit juice. My idea of a good time is making chocolate chip cookies and eating them while watching a movie with my friends. I love my friends. I have a passion for music and I watch American Idol religiously.

Why I am a Mormon

I can see the way God has worked in my life to help me become the person I am today. I love recognizing His hand in my daily life. There are WAY too many wonderful things that have happened in my life for me to ascribe them to anyone or anything that isn't God. I feel closer to Jesus Christ when I pray or read from the Book of Mormon and the Bible. By doing the things the church has asked it's members to do I can feel an increase of spirit and I know it is true. My testimony came gradually as I learned more and did my best to follow Christ's example. The best way to find out if these things are really true is to pray about it. God will always answer a sincere prayer.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week. I try to see God's hand in my life constantly. I read the Book of Mormon daily. I feel real power and strength from it, for real. The gospel = blessings. I have a desire to follow God. So I do. And then I share that with others.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Grace is super important. Without grace we would be totally stuck and nothing could save us. Beacuse of it, we can live with our Father in Heaven again. But because Jesus, the perfect being, was asked to sacrifice everything for us, shouldn't we be willing to sacrifice everything for Him? As we repent and strive to follow Christ's example, He will make up the huge difference. Show more Show less

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Baptism is essential! Even Jesus Christ, the only perfect person to walk the face of the Earth, was baptized. It is a way we show our willingness and committment to follow our Father in Heaven, and through baptism all of our sins are washed away. Show more Show less

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Because Adam and Eve gave in to temptation in the Garden of Eden and ate the forbidden fruit, they had to leave God's presence and sin became a part of life. We are born into a world full of sin, yet we must be perfect to live with God again. This creates a problem. Jesus Christ solved that problem when he took our sins upon Himself. As we follow Christ's teachings and repent we can be forgiven of sins and live with God again. Show more Show less
