Hi I'm Robin.

I was born and raised in Emmett, ID. I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm an American. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in a small town. After high school I worked. I met an amazing man and we were married. We have been though some amazing things in the years that we have been married. My husband had his own business for a year and then we lose it. We moved 8 times in 6 years during which time we had 3 kids. I love singing; playing sports, mostly volleyball; being with family and friends; and giving people treats that I've made. I try to find joy in each day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a 'Mormon'. My last couple of years of high school and a year after I decided that I wanted to do my own thing. Although I enjoyed this time, I knew that something was missing. After being in a relationship with a guy that I knew I was not going to marry, I decided that I needed to work on me and what I really wanted in my life. I wanted to be married and have children. I wanted to be happier. I wanted a relationship with God. I started praying again to see what I should be doing. I started to go to church again. The feelings of joy and of feeling like this is what was missing came to me. I missed feeling like God was on my side. I knew that I wasn't a bad person before, but I wasn't living what the Lord had asked me to live. I know now that the Lord lives and that He loves me. I know for myself, through faith and prayer, that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's church and the only way to get all the blessings that our Heavenly Father wants SO MUCH give us. I know that The Book of Mormon was given to us by God to help us to become better Disciples of Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was visited by our Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ. I know that I am far from being perfect, but that through repentance, the convenants that I keep, and my Savior's glorious atonement; I can be forgiven for my sins and one day inherit the highest degree of the celestial kingdom to live with Christ and my family for eternity. Nothing means more to me then that.

How I live my faith

I live it by loving and teaching my children everyday. By fulling the assignments that I am given in church either from my leaders or from the Holy Spirit, that tells me what the Lord wants me to do. One of those assignments or callings that I have is that of a Visiting Teacher. Visiting Teaching is a way for the women to meet different women in our church and to lift them spiritally, and emotionally, and if they need it, physically. As I have moved quite a few times, this is a great way to make friends and to get to know people better. The more you know about someone, the more you want what is best for them and love them. Loving people like this a Christ-like attribute. I also try making friends with my neighbors so that I can help them in anyway that they might need. My neighbors, who are not members of my church have 2 sets of twins under the age of 5. We like to have their kids over to play so that the mom gets a break while the dad is at work. I hope that we will become very good friends. We all need friends.
