Hi I'm Sharon

I am a mother of 5 and a grandmother of 14. I love to play the piano and the organ. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Being a mother of 5 children and now a grandmother of 14 keeps me busy. I just love sharing my time with each of them. They are so special to me. After high school I worked as a secretary until my first child was born and then was so blessed to be able to be a stay-at-home mother. I just love being home, sewing, gardening and making new recipes. My real 2nd love is music of which I play piano and organ. I have a wonderful husband who, I think, can make and repair anything and is such a good handyman around the home. He's the love of my life and my best friend.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young girl in Idaho I attended a Presbytarian church which was across the street from our house. I just went a few times with my girlfriend. As a family we didn't always travel to attend the Mormon church every week. I remember reading the Joseph Smith story one day and it was so exciting that I couldn't put the book down until I finished it. As I learned about Joseph Smith I felt really good about him. I believe in him and that he restored Christ's church to the earth.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the LDS church all of my life. I strive to follow the commandments and try to become more like my Savior. I attend church every Sunday and participate in many of the activities. I visit members regularly and try to be of service when it's needed. I am currently serving in the cannery and food storage program of our church. It's an important principle to be prepared enough to take care of our family in times of crisis and I enjoy the opportunity to work with the other members to help them be prepared as well. Music has always been an important part of my life. I remember sitting in the Salt Lake tabernacle listening to the Tabernacle Choir perform and having an overwhelming sensation of the truthfulness of the gospel come over me. With tears in my eyes I knew for a surety that this was the true church. Music always seems to touch my soul. I often have the opportunity to play in church and it is rewarding to be able to share a talent with others.
