Hi I'm Casey

I'm a college student by day and a saxophonist by night, but more than anything else: I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey! My name's Casey. I've been a member of the Church for 10 years. I'm attending college at the University of Utah. I play the saxophone... a lot! I also play soccer and snowboard. I try to keep my life to a pretty simple formula: Scriptures, Saxophone, Snowboarding, Soccer. In that order.

Why I am a Mormon

As I see it, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is all about more love. More love for one's self as a child of God. More love for others, because they're children of God and our brothers and sisters. More love for family and the potential to live with them for eternity in perfect happiness. I started going to church with my grandparents when I was 7 or so. My father was inactive and my mother was not a member. They never pressured me into a single thing. I have a deep gratitude for them in doing so. When we moved across the state, my parents took it upon themselves to keep taking me to church if that's what I wanted. It was. The rest is history. My father was advanced in the priesthood, my mother was baptized, and I continued to grow in the gospel. It has brought me and my family tremendous joy. I thank my Heavenly Father for such a unifying force that keeps us together through the roughest times of life.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Leòn, México. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ so much! It brings me a lot of happiness to know that we have a God who knows us each individually, that He has a plan which gives this life purpose, and that our families can be together forever. I want to take this message to others so they can feel the same joy I do. So that's what I'm doing.
