Hi I'm Cheri Rock and I'm a Mormon!!

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Cininnati, Ohio.

About Me

I and my wonderful husband Lemarr have been married for 42 years. We have 7 children and like to think we all adopted each other. Our family has multiple ethnic backgrounds. So, if you were to come to our home, you would probably feel like family even if you were green purple or blue. We sometimes think because of our diversity, if helps us feel like our Heavenly Father, because He has so many races in his posterity too! We are the grandparents of 13 grandchildren. I like music and enjoy writing poetry (which is mostly fluff). I am retired from working in a school system in as an administrative assistant and guidance secretary at the Junior High level. I love to make homemade bread. I call it my token domestic endeavor because there really isn't anything domestic I really do!!Most recently I was diagnosed with breast cancer. So now I am undergoing chemotherapy and soon to have radiation. Because I am now bald, getting ready in the morning is so much easier. I just slap on a hat or my wig and away I go!!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I can feel the Savior's love ever I read the scriptures and can feel Heavenly Father's love coming through the pages. I can feel the spirit of the prophets testimonies bearing witness to my spirit even though they wrote them thousands of years ago. It is amazing how that works. I know the church is true because Heavenly Father's plan is perfect and provides for all His children, even though most never had the opportunity to hear His wonderful plan. I know it's true because of how I feel when I attend church. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and if I will repent and do all I can and endure to the end, I will have the opportunity to live with Him again. What a great blessing!!

How I live my faith

I am serving in the women's organization of our church as the secretary. I love serving. I also like to visit and help with meals when someone is sick. Not too long ago, my husband and I had the privilege of serving an 18 month mission. We were able to meet and greet people from all around the world inviting them to learn more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We served closely with missionaries from all around the world. My world has truly changed. I have friends in some of the most remote places. It is such a great blessing to have the opportunity to serve the Lord in a full time capacity. I feel so honored.
