Hi I'm Josh

I love fishing. I'm a law student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full-time college student. I am studying law and when my nose isn't in a book I like to spend time with my wife and friends. I love to spend time outdoors fishing and hiking; I especially love being around the ocean and feeling wet air.

Why I am a Mormon

As a teenager I was confused about life. After talking to a teacher about the confusion in my life I decided to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is a true book from God. As I knelt next to my bed to praying to God I knew the Book of Mormon was true and that Christ's church was restored. From that night praying on my knees I have received many blessings. As I study the scriptures and think about what Christ would actually do in situations I face I have come to know my Savior Jesus Christ and I try to pattern my life after Him.

How I live my faith

I try to live a Christ centered life. I often fail because I am perfect, but I constantly think of Jesus Christ would treat someone, how He would react to a situation, or how He resolve a problem. At church I teach children 18 months to 3 years old. It is a joy to see how children are raised by loving parents. I am often amazed at how well-behaved the kids are. You can truly see kindness and love in their eyes. I try to remember those kids and Christ while I am at school or with my wife. Because it is having that childlike and Christlike love for everyone that I can show people how much Jesus means to me and what His restored gospel does to my life.

Who are the Mormons?

Mormons are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are Christians and believe in the Book of Mormon and the Bible. The nickname of "Mormon" comes from the fact that we believe in the Book of Mormon. We believe in a modern day prophet and we believe that Christ's Church was restored in 1800's. But really Mormons are your neighbors and friends who believe in Christ and believe in a restored gospel lead by a living prophet. Show more Show less
