Hi I'm Teresa

I am a mother of four beautiful daughters, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mother of four beautiful daughters. I love being a stay at home mom. Although at times it is hard and the pay isn't great :), it is the BEST job there is!! I have a degree in Elementary Education. I love to learn! I continue to take courses even though I have been graduated for 10 years. Sewing is a passion of mine. I love to sew things for my girls, for gifts, or for things to decorate my home. Reading is another thing I love. I like everything from picture books to classics. I also enjoy baking and cooking. I like the challenge of taking bits of things and making something whole (and hopefully yummy) out of it. As a family we love to hike. I love being outside and enjoying all the world has to offer.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. I learned the basics of the Gospel from birth really, but at some point you have to decide for yourself if it is what YOU believe. For me, it came easy. I have always had a burning testimony that Jesus Christ is my Savior. Somehow I have always known that He died for me because He loves me. I have felt the hand of a loving Heavenly Father in my life, even at an early age. Through prayer and scripture study I have built upon that love and have formed a close relationship with my Savior and my Heavenly Father. I have watched family of mine take different paths, and my heart has ached as I have seen the light dim in them. I still love them more than ever, but I feel saddened by their choices. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have read it and studied it for myself multiple times, and I know it to be true. I feel so blessed to know that we have a living prophet today. Really, all that is good that we have, has come from our loving Heavenly Father. He wants nothing more than to have us return and live with Him, and He has given us all the help that we need to get there. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

I am so blessed to serve the children of our ward. We have a large ward with over 100 children age 3-11 and 60 children from 18months to 2 and I am blessed to be the president over the Primary organization that is over the children. I LOVE it and I LOVE them! It is a lot of work, but it is an amazing blessing in my life. I get to organize and train teachers over each age group where the children are taught a Gospel lesson each Sunday. I also oversee week-day activities for the girls and the Cub Scout Program for the boys. I also get to teach Gospel messages on Sundays to large groups of the children as well. My favorite part of Primary however, is the music. It is where the Gospel is truly learned and where the Spirit of our Heavenly Father is felt the most. Besides the Primary, I am a part of the largest organization of women in the world, the Relief Society. Here I am a sister to all the women in the ward. We look out for one another, visit one another, serve one another, and teach the Gospel to one another. Relief Society blesses my life each day. In our home though, is where we strive to live the Gospel the most. I try to teach my children the scriptures and the principles of the Gospel each day. I do this through Family Home Evening each Monday evening, family scripture reading each day, family prayer each day, and most of all , by striving to live a righteous life myself. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not just a part of my life.... it is my life.
