Hi I'm Jen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a second-generation Korean-American. Currently, I'm in graduate school, obtaining a dual MD-PhD degree. I am getting trained to become a physician-scientist who can investigate the causes of human diseases. The general goals of our kind of research are to better understand the human body and to prevent/alleviate/cure diseases.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it teaches me who Christ is. We once lived with God. We knew we were His children. We knew Christ. We knew that only Christ was pure enough to be a Savior. We knew Christ would one day stand in our stead to bear the punishments of our sins and the anguish of our sorrows. I'm a Mormon because the teachings help remind me of things I once knew thousands of years ago as a daughter of God living in His presence. This religion not only teaches the meaning of life, but also is a way of living life itself. It teaches where we came from, why we are here, how we should live our lives, and where we will be going after life on Earth. Its teachings give me reason to enjoy peace, hope, love, and joy. I'm a Mormon because the beliefs, teachings, and guidance all ring true to the depths of my being.

How I live my faith

I believe that all of us are here to help one another through service. Currently, I serve in the Church by teaching young single adult women more about the gospel. I've held different church assignments in my life, including pianist, secretary, counselor, teacher, and door greeter.
