Hi I'm Jodi

I am a wife and mother, I have a passion for good music, I love to be with family and friends and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am blessed to be a wife to my sweet husband and a mother of two wonderful boys! I am a homemaker, and HOME is exactly where I want and love to be! I have so many hobbies and interests that bring me happiness! These are a "few of my favorite things..." Family and friends, home, the four seasons, rain, sun, snow, the sound of thunder and the beauty in lighting, holidays, music, camping, cutting/hauling/splitting and stacking wood! I love to cook and yes, I like to clean! I love to dance, play sports, laugh, cuddle, gardening, mowing the lawn, and organizing my home. Some of the more recent things that I have enjoyed are: playing the piano, reading good books, visiting my neighbors, and assisting my husband with home improvement projects. I'd like to say that I'm the type of person that looks at the glass as being half full. I believe that happiness is something we can choose and the more we choose it the happier we become.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I'm a Mormon- Though we were not perfect, I grew up in a home where the gospel was taught, prayers were said, and love was felt. In my family, I am one of eleven children. Together we attended church each Sunday. I knew my parents had testimonies that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the true church on this earth. As a little girl I remember having complete trust in them, I believed the lessons being taught from the scriptures. I gained a testimony that it was true and as I grew so did my testimony! I chose to be baptized when I turned eight years old. Being older, I began to read and study the scriptures on my own! I felt comfort and peace as I would read and my testimony of its truth became stronger. I prayed to ask Heavenly Father if the things I was reading were correct and true. The answer I felt in my heart! It was confirmed to me that I already knew. I knew, and still know that the Book of Mormon is of God, it is his word. I know I was sent here as part of a great plan. I have been given the gift of agency to choose who I will be and what I will become. The Book of Mormon is one of the lord's great gifts of guidance. To me it is like an instruction manual that assists me in making choices that can lead to true happiness and eternal life.

How I live my faith

As a Daughter of God and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I try my best to do my part to serve and love my neighbor. I live my faith by first dedicating myself to strengthening my marriage, my family, and my home. To my children, I along with my husband, teach the gospel. We are also no strangers to prayer. I pray for guidance from the lord that I may be prompted to know how, when, and who is in need of my love and service. As an active member of this church I have been called to be a Visiting Teacher! This means I have a great responsibility to get to know, serve, teach, comfort, grow to love, and pray for those I visit! I also live my faith by attending my church meetings each week. I contribute to those meetings by playing the piano as others sing the hymns. This helps invite the spirit as the hymns are sweet songs of praise and each a prayer to our Father in Heaven. I feel that by service the lord is molding me into what I can become! I am grateful for the growth that comes when we are faithful in doing the lord's work!
