Hi I'm Amy

I grew up in Southern Arizona, I am a first grade teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to the same man for a very long time, and a mom with four kids. I became a grandma just last year. (That baby is spoiled rotten at our house) I went back to college just before I turned 40. I am now a teacher. I teach 1st graders. I enjoy teaching those little ones how to read. It is the best.

Why I am a Mormon

I was a new mom when I decided I wanted to go to church. I remember looking into several protestant churches. I asked a minister about Baptism, and what happened to all of the people who never had the opportunity to be baptized. He couldn't really answer me. It was a very unsatisfing experience. A few years later my husband (who was a member) began to go back to church. The missionaries began coming to our home. I began asking questions. It took me awhile but I found through prayer and personal experiences that this was the church I needed to follow. I found that even if someone never heard the gospel while they were alive, they were not forgotten. I wanted to find out more. The more I learned the more I felt the truth. I was soon baptized.

How I live my faith

I have a very full and busy life. I work with the teenage girls at this time at church. These girls teach me so much. I did not grow up in the Church so I see how much streagth these young women have by following the precepts of this church. They are so strong. They are rock solid in their beliefs. I wish I had half the testimony and knowledge these teenage girls have. These kids know who they are and what they want from life. I did not learn this until I had several children. These girls are amazing.
