Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Indiana with my mom, my dad, four brothers, and three sisters. I still live at home in the same house I grew up in. I studied nursing for a year before deciding that I wanted to do something else. I am now in my third semester of college and plan on becoming a dental hygienist. My family is very important to me. I love to spend time with them! I am an aunt and I enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews. I also enjoy reading, watching movies, taking pictures, and going to concerts. I am the happiest when I'm with my friends and family doing the things I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but that is not why I am a member today. I have always known that the church was true, but I didn't have a true testimony of my own until recently. When I am following the teachings of Christ and living the commandments, I can feel the spirit of the Lord guiding me in my life. The principles and teachings of the church help me to live a happier and more joyful life. I try to live my life by following the example of Jesus Christ. I know that this is the true church and that the Book of Mormon is true. I have felt the Holy Ghost testify this to me. I know that through the gift of Atonement, we will be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father in heaven. I know where I came from, what my purpose in this life is, and where I am going to go when I leave this Earth.

How I live my faith

I currently teach 5 and 6 year olds at church. I teach them a lesson every Sunday. The lessons teach them about Christ, the church, the commandments, and our modern day prophet. I learn as much, if not more, than the children do. I am grateful for the children and I am grateful to be able to teach them about the church. I try to live my life in a way that would make my Heavenly Father happy. I try to do things that will make me a better person. I study the scriptures, serve, and share my testimony with others.
