Hi I'm Karen Pratt

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a MOM! I have been for 26 years. While being a mom I have enjoyed sewing, refinishing furniture, gardening, maintaining yards, pools, barns, cars..... An apprentice Martha Stewart, if you will, without the notoriety or paycheck just the confidence of self sufficiency which the church promotes in many different forums

Why I am a Mormon

Being a mormon has taught me how to be a better person, sister, wife, mother friend. Living the gospel brings me joy and peace. I lived the first half of my life without the gospel and this last half as a Mormon. My life is happier than I could have ever imagined. I have had many trials and could not have made it without the gospel. My family who are not members have struggled with many of the same trials and are in the throes of hardship and misery and I know it is because they do not have the gospel in their lives.

How I live my faith

I have learned through my faith the only way to be happy is to serve. I have been given many opportunities to teach and mentor the youth, especially the young women. I have formed many friendships as a result of the shared standards the gospel teaches my children that they live by. The church has become my family. Wherever we have moved or gone the church is the same. The support, the love. I feel as though I have a family all over the world.
