Hi I'm Diana

I hiked the Grand Canyon. Was a Lifeguard. I'd like to weld. I make Jewelry. I'm the Mother of a Miracle Child & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have the same every day life trials like everyone else. I'm a Wife and Mother. I have six awesome children, Four Boys, who all earned their "Eagle" the highest rank in BSA, and two amazing Daughters, along with my husband, who supports me in all I do, and provides for all our needs, they are my greatest joys and blessings. I am honored to be a "Stay at Home Mom"! My favorite job before marriage is a toss up between being a Lifeguard and a Booking Agent for a well known Modeling Agency. I love working with people and I love fashion, Modest Fashion. I've hiked the Grand Canyon, stayed a few nights at the bottom and hiked back out. What an experience! I make jewelry. I'm a Mother of Twins, which is an amazing blessing in itself. I am blessed to see the sight of hatching 100 plus Butterflies and African Sulcotta tortoises yearly in our yard from May to September. I've lost loved ones and still feel the sadness of their absence. We owned our own company and because of someone else's choices we lost it all. Still we feel and know how blessed we are to have each family member. Between broken bones, motorcycle accidents, a finger cut off in a trailer hitch, a stomach pumped, a miscarriage etc. I'm grateful for it all, maybe because it took Ten years to have our first child, which was a true trial in our life. We're grateful to finally have our children with us. I have learned, it isn't the falling down, however it is in the getting back up and what you do with it that defines us!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon becauseI have had many experiences where I have had to live by Faith. The one that comes to mind most often is with one of our sons. When he, now 16, and I talk we refer to him as the Miracle Child. When I was pregnant, and was about seven months along, there was a dark mass on his brain that showed itself on the ultrasound. The doctors told my husband and I, that once he was born he would only live up to 10 days, we would watch him die slowly, so it would be best to have an abortion immediately to terminate the pregnancy. You can only imagine what the next few days were like. I asked for a Priesthood Blessing. This is a blessing given by a Melchizedek Priesthood holder, which is a man who is worthy and has the authority to act in the name of God our Heavenly Father. In this Blessing we were promised our son would be born completely healthy and would grow and live a Normal Life. After the blessing I had such Peace and I knew in my heart, "All is Well". The doctors wanted to run more tests. I explained this wasn't necessary and they just didn't understand and insisted I come in for more tests. I went in for the ultrasound. I explained how everything was fine. No one listened to me until after doing a few ultrasounds and couldn't find anything wrong. They were finally willing to listen to me, however when I explained to them the miracle of the Priesthood Blessing they wouldn't believe me, and insisted the dark mass must have never been there... as we sat in the room staring at the before and after pictures and it WAS definitely there. It broke my heart that I couldn't convince them of the truthfulness of the power of the Priesthood, and the joy their spirits could have in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I did, however have my heart full of joy for my knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Belonging to his church, the True Church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have a Testimony of its Truthfulness and this I CAN NEVER DENY!

How I live my faith

I'm trying to be an example of Jesus Christ's teachings. I'm trying to raise service oriented children, who are learning to place others before themselves. Some days are better than others! When we don't do so great one day we start fresh with a new day. I feel this is one of our Heavenly Fathers Greatest Blessings, a beautiful sunrise to greet a new day. To start fresh, leaving the past behind us, gleaning from it the memories, both great memories and not so great. The great memories to bring us the joy our Heavenly Father wants us to have and the not so great, so we may learn from them, never throwing them back in anyones face. I find life is better and has more joy when I loose myself in the service of others. I find joy in my children's faces when I see them feel this same kind of joy. It isn't just a happiness. It is an Eternal Joy! I have served in the church all my life. How blessed I am to have the great parents and church leaders I have had. I've been blessed to work with the elderly, the nursery age, the youth, and the young adults. Something my Father taught me as a young child while bailing hay in the fields, he would say, "Diana, the church is true, the gospel of Jesus Christ is pure, however it's the human factor you have to be careful with!" This is true, as humans we make mistakes no matter what religion we are. We have to grow our testimonies strong in the gospel and not allow others choices to hurt or offend us and weaken out testimonies. We must endure to the end, enjoy the journey and endure it well!
