Hi I'm Craig

I'm 60, a retired landscaper, enjoy music,dancing,cooking,and travel w/my wife of 12 years,and serving God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Indiana, attended college in Mississippi, and worked in landscaping for over 30 years in Colorado,Califonia, the Washington D.C. area, and in Indiana before retiring. While studying for my degree,I first met the missionaries from the church, and was impressed with their dedication to serving for 2 years away from home and family, jobs, and school at their own expense. I later began attending church in Colorado, and was welcomed and fellowshipped with love and good examples of Christian values and lifestyles. After being taught the missionary discussions, I decided to join in 1976. About a year later I was called to serve a mission in Japan. After 35 years of membership, I am still learning and growing spiritually through many chuch service opportunities, personal and family study of God's holy word, and the guidance of the Holy Ghost. Family is also very important to me,and I spend as much time as I can trying to be a good husband and father. My life is blessed each day as I remember my Savior ,Jesus Christ ,and draw closer to him by living his Gospel and sharing His love.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church because of the example of it's members in bearing living testimony of the mission of the church to bring souls unto Jesus Christ.I also appreciate that the church is a worldwide organization that is established after the order of Christ's original church, and is being governed and operated the same, no matter where in the world you may live or visit. It's like having family and friends who support and love you regardless of your language, race, or nationality. I also enjoy the opportunities to serve within and without the church. The church and Gospel of Jesus Christ has given me purpose and focus to know who I am, what my mission in life truly is, and how to be happy and bring joy to others ,before I leave this life to return to live with my Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I am priveledged to be able to work as a family history consultant and help members and non-members to trace their ancestry and connect to their family roots. I also serve as a temple worker in Chicago where those ancestors receive saving ordinances that unite them together as families for all eternity in God's kingdom. I believe this to be God's plan for all of his Earthly children. I also try to read and study the scriptures and pray with my family and others for whom I have been given stewardship to invite the Spirit into our lives and build a stronger more personal relationship with my Savior and Father in Heaven.
