Hi I'm Shelley

I have lived in Washington state for most of my life, I am a mother of four, a grandmother of four and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 20 years old, and newly married to a mormon. I have been active in the church ever since. I raised 3 sons, and one daughter, and now have four grandchildren. Being a grandmother is one of the best things to ever happen to me. Family if everything to me, and I enjoy being around them as much as possible. I love to travel with my husband, read, cook, cross stitch, and other assorted crafts.

Why I am a Mormon

When I married my husband he was a member of this church and so was his entire family. One of the main reasons I was attracted to the church is when I was around his family I thought it was a great way to raise a family. I didn't grow up in any religion, and was at that time thinking about starting a family. I believe that me and my husband raised 4 great, and well adjusted children, and I don't think we could have done that if I didn't have the gospel in my life. I feel that Heavenly father has helped me so much in my life. I had a head injury years ago, and took several years to fully recover. I know in my heart that through prayer I was able to fully recover and continue just as I had before the accident. I believe that prayer can help us in our everyday life and with anything that may come our way!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living life the way I think my Heavenly father would want me to. I attend church and church functions. My husband is currently the bishop of a singles ward (where members are all in their 20's and single) and we love being with the young single adults. We have a lot of activities and social gatherings and I have grown to love them so much! I have worked in many different callings in the church and each one I learn to love and love the people I work with. I try to be honest, kind, and giving in all I do. I do believe that we need a good sense of humor to get through everything in our lives, and laugh. I believe laughter is the key to having a happy family.
