Hi I'm Mike!

I work for the FAA, was an Air Traffic Controller for 25 years, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 30 years, and have 5 children. I like to read, to scuba dive, and to travel. Someday, I'd like to ride a motorcycle across the USA! I like to shoot and edit video of local choir and theatrical productions. I am the PA announcer for our local high school football team.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon church, but I was well into my adult years before I gained a mature testimony of the gospel. I love my Savior Jesus Christ, and am thankful for his grace and salvation. His gift to me means everything - it brings happiness and erases fear. He lives! He loves me! He died for me, and it is only through him that I can be forgiven of my sins, and return to my Father in Heaven. I am a Mormon because the church teaches truth and has God's priesthood authority. I am so thankful that the priesthood authority of God, once held by the prophets of the Old Testament and the apostles of the New Testament, is found again on earth!

How I live my faith

One of my favorite ways to show my faith is by teaching sunday school. Over the years, I have enjoyed teaching the youth and adults. Currently I help plan our Sunday worship services and sometimes lead the worship service. My children and I enjoy participating in community theatre. My wife and I love sports, and we often volunteer our time as scorekeepers, clock operators, and announcers at our high school football, basketball and volleyball games.
