Hi I'm Anthony

I can't sleep without a fan next to my face, I eat tons of vegetables, I LOVE speaking Spanish, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of 6 children, and the only boy of the family. I love playing the piano and writing music. In Highschool I played football, and was involved in choir, and musical theatre. I grew up in Idaho and love small towns and living in the country. Reading is my favorite! I plan to study English and Spanish in college, and I love little kids! If you have something to smile about, I believe that you should share it with the whole world!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by my wonderful parents. I was taught the gospel and what I was expected to do, yet, as everyone must, I had to figure out for myself if what I was living was reality or if I had fallen for the 'Santa clause is real' ploy. I didn't want to find out late that what I was living was just a joke or out of fun. Does God really exist, or are we just creating a fantasy for ourselves? I prayed and asked God if the Book of Mormon is true, because I knew that if the Book of Mormon was true, then everything that came with it was true also, namely that God is real and that He is still a God of miracles. My answer came gradually and over a period of time. I had to study, I had to search, and in all honesty, I'm still doing those things. The only way that I can describe the way I believe why I do is comparable to a seed. I planted the Idea, the hypothesis that maybe its true, although I always hoped it was true, and then I 'nourished' it. I studied the word of God and saw how Variable A, my faith, and variable B, the Book of Mormon, made my life something that I can be proud of. The Proof that Jesus Christ has restored His gospel is the way that I have come to love Him and seek Him more than I ever have before. The Book of Mormon has brought me closer to the Savior. What more proof do I need? God is Good and that which is good can only come from God.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in the Texas Houston South Mission. It is truly a blessing to be able to share my testimony every single day with random people that I meet. With confidence and assurance that what I am doing is right, I can promise people that, no matter what they are going through, the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its restored and pure form will better their lives. I know that is true. Manifestations of its veracity are given to me in my personal life daily, and I see the betterments it makes in the lives of everyone who has accepted it. Truly and honestly, It is a challenge to know what is expected of the Lord and to fall so short of it everyday. I've come to learn that the Savior dosn't expect perfection from us all at once, but on the contrary that it comes one act of self-denial and self-control at a time. Walking on the pathway back to the presence of Jesus is a tough one. To be able to climb the escalated trail I'm having to learn how to leave my sins and the weight of my regrets on the sides of the road and ask him to help me become new. I have hope and I put my faith in him. If He truly made the world, why can't he make me new. He can and I trust Him to help me day by day.
