Hi I'm Kelcie

I grew up in Utah, traveled to Alaska to work for a summer, I'm a college student, I love life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student with hopes of one day graduating. I go to school in the day and work the evenings. I have three jobs where I am continually running as fast as I can just to keep up with my crazy life. I have a wonderful family that I visit often supporting them in their schooling and extra curricular activities. I love to travel even if it's just for the weekend. I thank my Father in Heaven for giving me such wonderful opportunities to grow and be me.

Why I am a Mormon

From the time I was born, I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I had always believed and deep down known but I had to find out if being a Mormon was right for me. I had experiences where I know the Lord had blessed my life and watched out for me but it wasn't until I was completely on my own seeming a million miles from home when I traveled to Alaska for work one summer. This was one of the hardest things I have ever had to go through not having anyone to depend on and my closest friend was three miles away on foot. I couldn't turn to my mom for a hug and truly felt alone. That's when I hit my knees in prayer asking for help. Help for me to find joy in the challenges that surrounded me daily. I remembered before I left my grandfather had given me advice to read from the best of books. Since I was living out of two suitcases for the summer, not bringing much, I began reading the Book of Mormon. I gained a stronger testimony of the book and the power behind it. It is truly the words of God, it is there to help guide our lives, to inspire us, and to feel at peace in times of challenges and trial. This gospel has blessed my life tremendously. I know that my Heavenly Father answers prayers. I know I am a daughter of God and that He loves me. I know where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going. I know he has a plan for each one of his children including me. I have received my own personal witness through the Holy Ghost of the truthfulness of this gospel, that the Book of Mormon is true and that one day if I do my part, I can return back to his presence.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example. The way I act reflects the kind of person that I am. I'm an ordinary person who loves their life. I stay busy but all the while I read my scriptures daily, pray daily along with attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints each Sunday this is where I get my strength to continue on each day. I know I can try a little harder to be a little better each and every day.
