Hi I'm Daniel

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for five years and we have three wonderful children. We love spending time together, and in particular being outdoors. I am approaching the end of my PhD studies where I use lasers to measure the temperature of flames. I enjoy fixing things. I ride public transportation (more than I want to). I run for exercise, and love it. I have helped deliver two of our three children. I served as a missionary for the Chuch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I love the people of South America. I grew up in western United States of America in a family of eight children. During my childhood, we moved a number of times for my Father's employment, and as a child I learned to adapt to new environments. Each summer, we would make long family car trips to visit grandparents, and take a family camping trip. Playing soccer has been a life-long hobby for my brothers and me. I participated in Boy Scouts, and I am proud to have earned the Eagle Scout award. After high school, I served as a missionary in Buenos Aires, Argentina; I love the people of South America. I finished a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, and am currently wrapping up my PhD studies in the same field. My wife and I met during our final year of undergraduate studies, and have now been married more than five years. We have three marvelous children and we love spending time together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint (mormon), because I believe God organized and directs this church. I believe that this church holds the same priesthood power that Jesus Christ gave to his Apostles as described in the New Testament. As Jesus taught us about seeking the kingdom of God, I feel it is important to be baptized into and be an active member of God's kingdom. I try to follow the teachings of Jesus by obeying the commandments and serving others. While the people of the church are certainly imperfect, they are good and kind. I love associating with the people of the church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to keep God's commandments. This includes being a devoted husband and father, serving and loving other people, taking care of my body, not drinking alcohol or smoking, being honest at work and at home, paying tithing, honoring my parents, going to church and keeping the Sabbath day holy. I have found that whenever I consistently keep God's commandments, He blesses me with happiness and the things I need. I have volunteered my time and energy in the church to do things like: organize and participate in community service projects, teach Sunday school classes to children, teenagers and adults, visit church members in their homes to offer assistance with any needs they may have.
