Hi I'm Daniel

I love potatoes. I read encyclopedias. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old. I guess I would be described as the typical nice guy. I am from a small town and I love playing basketball and being outdoors. My dream job? Being a pediatric oncologist. I love animals. People too! Everybody has their own story, their own take on life and just learning about that particular perspective is really satisfying for me. I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters, and they are basically the best people I know. (I may be a little biased). I love food, especially mashed potatoes. I am an Idahoan after all!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because everything fits. By living the "Mormon" way, I have a feeling of my life being whole and fulfilling. By living the truths of the gospel, I am so happy! And that is because I am closer to my Savior Jesus Christ. The whole point of my faith is to learn to be more like Him, to love others like He would and be more hopeful, patient and pure. My parents are both Mormon, but I know for myself that this church is truly The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I asked God. I read the Book of Mormon and then prayed. My Father in Heaven answered me perfectly, so that I could feel sure. It wasn't fireworks; it was a feeling of warmth, of joy and light filling me up. And because the Book of Mormon is true I know I am a son of God, that He loves me and that I, and every other person, can return to live with Him and my family forever because of what Jesus Christ did. When it comes down to it, any facet of my life that brings me joy is rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ, as restored and taught in His Church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying a lot everyday. Being able to communicate with God, my Heavenly Father, is amazing. Right now, I also get to tell everyone around me all about this church and Jesus Christ by serving a full time mission, and I have never been happier. I try (and fail, but try again) to view everyone I see as Christ would.
