Hi I'm Chuck

I'm an inventor with hundreds of patents and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In spite of growing up in a broken home and some physiological disabilities I made it through college with a Masters in math. My grandfather's farm gave me a stable home to relate to and he introduced me to hiking and fishing. I was in scouting and spent 20+ years as a scoutmaster.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon because my grandfather was a Mormon but I spent some time in college studying native american religions and then became a Zen/Taoist. I am a Mormon now because I have learned for myself that the teachings are true. My testimony is hard earned and very precious to me.

How I live my faith

I find that there is ample opportunity to serve in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Everyone gets a calling and I have had many over the years. Some callings have required that I learn new skills while others have made use of skills I had already learned. I have learned to rely on inspiration from the Holy Ghost and thereby was able to overcome many of my disabilities which is a miracle in my life and gives me hope for the future. I know that Jesus is the Christ and am humbled by the possibility of the Atonement having claim on me.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Grace is the free gift of God that allows Charity to claim my soul and the atonememt of Jesus Christ to cleanse it. It is by Grace that just and honorable men and women are purified and made perfect through Christ Jesus. The gift is free but it must be accepted. We accept the gift of Grace by doing all we can to become just and honorable people, live the teachings of the Master, and keep His commandments. Show more Show less
