Hi I'm Tonya

I am a mom and an herbalist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and the mother of 2 children here on earth and 3 children who are on the other side. Growing up I wanted nothing more than to be a mother and wife. My children bring me so much joy. I learn so much from them daily. I am currently working on my master's degree in the herbal healing field. I felt prompted to pursue this degree and have found it to be what I need to focus on. The knowledge I have gained has enabled me to heal my own family and others around me. This field of study has helped me to better understand the Word of Wisdom in the Docterine and Covenants section 89, also known as the Lord's Law of Health. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, photography and "creating".

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life for which I am very grateful. I have gained my own persoanl testimony of Heavenly Father, and His son Jesus Christ. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. I am thankful for the teachings found therein. I have found answers to many problems and answers to many questions within the pages of the scriptures. I know that without my Savior, Heavenly Father and the Gospel, life would be so much more difficult. I love my Savior and my Heavenly Father! I know that they are real and that they listen to my prayers and answer them and that they love me. I am thankful for the atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ. What a blessed, wonderful gift!

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a counselor in the Stake Relief Society presidency and I am a visiting teacher. I live the gospel by working each day to keep the commandments. I know that example is the best teacher and by keeping the commandments, trying to be better each day, helping, loving and serving others I pray that I am an example to those around me. We are the Savior's hands, I find great fulfillment in serving others. Serving others is not always as convenient as we would like, therein lies the whole secret of service. When we lose ourselves serving others, whether it be a child, spouse, friend or even someone we may not know, that is when we find true joy and fulfillment. As it says in Matthew, "By their fruits ye shall know them."
