Hi I'm Alexis

I am a freelance reporter. I am a mother of four. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a mother and a freelance journalist. I recieved my degree in broadcast journalism from Brigham Young University. I love to spend time with my husband and children. We love to do simple things like; going on drives to explore a new place, taking silly pictures of each other, going camping, building forts and watching movies in them and lauging. I love that I get to stay home with my children. I enjoy meeting new people and have a goal to visit all 50 states and several other countries just to meet the people and see how they live and what makes them happy. I love to write and I think its pretty cool that I get to write and interview people and hold my babies at the same time. I'm living the dream!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have been taught this my whole life and I have found it to be true. I have been taught where I come from, why I am here on this earth and where I am going when this life ends. I have been taught that families can be together forever I have been taught that I have a loving Father in Heaven who wants what is best for me and for all His children on this earth. I have been taught that I can talk to God (my Heavenly Father) through prayer and He will answer my prayers. I have been taught the answers to life's toughest questions can be found in the scriptures. I have been taught that God loves all of his children and still speaks to us through revelation through a true and living prophet. I have been taught all of the answers to all of my questions and I don't need to look anywhere else. There is a peace that comes with knowing you are exactly where you should be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by taking what I have been taught and applying it in my own life. I look to Jesus Christ as my example. I have gained a greater understanding of my savior Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father through constant study of the scriptures. I teach my children from them and I find comfort from them. We start everyday with the study of the scriptures and family prayer. I live my faith by being charitable and honest with those around me and by teaching my children to do the same. I attend church every Sunday and participate in the worship services. I have the wonderful opportunity of working with the young girls between the ages of 8-11 . I am in charge of planning activities that both teach the girls skills like baking, sewing and being creative but also teach them how to be strong sprititually in a world where morality, virtue and values are decaying on a regular basis.
