Hi I'm Jacqueline

I have been married 21 years, I have three children, I love traveling, reading, spending time with my family and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the daughter of a German immigrant and a Panamanian immigrant. I was the first child in my family born in the United States. My father was in the US Army and I have lived all over the U.S., in Costa Rica (as an infant), Germany and Spain. I love to take long walks every day, read books, travel, visit with friends, and love being a stay-at-home mother of three children. Being a wife and mother is the most important thing in my life. It took me a long time to have my children and they are miracles to me. I am married to a wonderful man who supports my decision to stay at home so I can be available to our children at all times. My oldest daughter is about to graduate from high school and attend college. I am so proud of the person that she has become and I am glad I was able to be with her every step of the way. I still have two small children at home and they keep me very busy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon but I grew up in the Lutheran church. After my parents divorced when I was a little girl, I felt a void and longed to attend church. When I was 16 years old I met the Mormon missionaries when they knocked on my door looking for people to teach. I listened to their message and was deeply touched by the knowledge that families can be together forever. I had talked to many people of various faiths but when I met the missionaries I felt the Holy Ghost witness to me that something was different about The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I prayed after every lesson and received an answer that told me the Church is true. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and gave me the opportunity to find His true gospel. I know He loves each and every one of us individually and has a plan for us so we can find happiness. I also know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and that He loves each and every one of us for who we are.

How I live my faith

Being Mormon is not just a Sunday thing. I try every day to be a good person and follow the example my Savior Jesus Christ has set for me. I know I am not perfect and am thankful for the knowledge that I can pray every day and repent and try to do better. I am thankful for prayer, scripture and the words of the prophet and apostles who guides our church every day. I serve the Lord by serving his people and am the president of the women's organization in my congregation. We try hard to reach out not only to the sisters and families in our ward, but also to the people in our community. I love how we are encouraged to reach out and think of our neighbors and not just ourselves. I know it is what Jesus Christ wants me to do.
