Hi I'm Jennifer
Compassion is my super power. Writing is my therapy. I love people. I'm a Mormon.
I'm a news anchor and reporter in Central Texas, but more importantly, I'm a wife and mother. I met and married my husband in 2008 and we welcomed our daughter in 2010. I love to write and meet new people, which is why I decided to pursue a career in the journalism field. I'm usually staying up late and waking up early, trying to study new things or develop a new hobby which right now includes photography, sewing and blogging.
Why I am a Mormon
My family joined the LDS church when I was young, but it wasn't until I was about 11 years old that I decided I wanted to be active and involved for myself. I knew the way I felt when I attended was different than I felt at any other church and I really wanted to be there. I continue to go because time and time again I'm confronted with a testimony that assures me I'm where I'm suppose to be and what I'm hearing is right. There's a profound difference I, witness in my own life when I'm living the teachings of the gospel. I grew up dreaming of attending Brigham Young University and eventually that dream came true. There, my faith continued to grow and my testimony expanded. I love knowing where I came from, where I'm trying to go, and that I can and will be with the family I love so much forever. Words can't express the love I have for the Lord and His gospel.
How I live my faith
I try to be a good example to those around me and by living my Christian faith. I love discussing the gospel with others who maybe are unfamiliar with our church. I didn't serve a formal mission for my church, but I like to think of myself as an everyday missionary.
