Hi I'm Rick

Hi, I'm Rick. I move houses for work and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My job can be very dirty and challenging. Sometimes a house move can be very precarious and pay attention oriented. At these times I pray a lot and it's cool to review later and notice where we received a divine hand of help. Usually I love my work but I always love my community, family (grand kids included) and the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this wonderful town of Lynden, WA and my family was very diligent in attending a Christian church here. I knew the gospel of Jesus Christ was true, but I struggled to understand some of the doctrines. After graduating from high school, I solemnly prayed that the Lord would guide my life and help me find the truth about the doctrines I had in question. Since that prayer I was steadily led to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and through this church and the Holy Ghost, I learned the correct interpretation of those doctrines and others also.

How I live my faith

I believe part of the answer is in the question. I believe if we ask him sincerely, the Lord will give us a sure witness of the most important parts of the gospel, mainly that he lives and atoned for our sins and I also believe he requires our faithfulness in areas we don't fully comprehend to see if we will remain truly committed to him. I live my faith by being honest in all my dealings, by teaching and being a proper example to our children and grandchildren and by giving them the freedom and support in doing what they choose to do in life (providing it's honorable). Through hard work and careful home management, I'm honored to say my wife has been privileged to be a stay at home mom for our six kids and she's been able to give considerable time to many other very worthy causes. We give of our means to the best of our ability to those in need and hope to someday become a senior missionary couple (preferably before we feel like seniors). I know the love of God is the most desirable above all things and I love to see it manifest in his children (all of us).
